Shawn Seuferer’s Biography
Hello! My name is Shawn and I’m your certified clinical thermographer and owner of Thermography of Wisconsin. Mel (husband) and I live on Prosper Farm, a hobby farm just south of Eau Claire which has entertained an assortment of ornery Icelandic sheep, pesky chickens, noisy donkeys, entitled cats, plus whatever else happens to be on the list that year. Prosper Farm started in 1997 as a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) operation and eventually switched over to grass-fed meat products. We raised our livestock organically and grass-fed because we know how important clean and nutritious food is to health and wellness, plus the flavor is amazing!
I have a horticulture background with a master’s degree in Ag Science, spending my early career in horticulture industry research and consulting. This exposed me to the use of nutrition to manipulate plant growth, planting the seed, if you will, for my interest in the impact of nutrition in my own life. In 1998, one year after starting Prosper Farm CSA, I was diagnosed with endometrial cancer, a diagnosis of which I did not fit the typical profile at all. I relied heavily on nutritional and spiritual healing, along with medical support, to regain my health. It was then that Mel and I vowed to walk alongside others who find themselves on a cancer journey.
Years later, being trained as a certified functional nutritional therapy practitioner through the Nutritional Therapy Association, and as a graduate of the Cancer Peace University instructor training program, I shared my passion about the impact of nutrition on the body by educating about, restoring with, and connecting people to nutritious foods and clean water. I spoke at schools and organizations and served clients through my private practice, Vitalistic Protocol, LLC, (ViP) from 2014 to 2018.
In 2021, I turned my focus to providing women and men with an affordable digital infrared thermal image scanning service – thermography – which provides a visualization of their current state of health. These scans help to identify areas of inflammation and potential changes in the body’s physiology. This in turn provides the client and their preferred health care provider with greater opportunity for an early and accurate diagnosis, treatment and positive outcome. In other words, I can now provide you with a picture of your health…in color!
My passion continues to be around health and wellness, empowering others to make healthy choices with food, lifestyle and care. I challenge others to step into their greatness and accomplish their God-given purpose in life.
